Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Familiarity with analog and digital video formats and standards and avionics display interfaces/cabin Management systems Ability to drive HW video architecture decisions to robust conclusions Ability to develop HW/SW video format conversions Familiarity with digital image processing in HW (FPGA, DSP) Analyze and specify camera modules, camera controllers, and components Asses COTS camera components VS in house design - forecast level of effort, technical challenges associated with development of Technology VS. external sourcing Create detailed electrical block diagrams Assist Manufacturing with daily assembly challenges Assist purchasing with part Procurement to identify fully capable and qualified suppliers Assist Quality Control with incoming part inspection and first article part inspection to maintain the highest level of quality attainable with incoming inventory. Assist with Qualification Test Plans, Procedures and FAA Qualification testing for New Product Development following DO-160 requirements. Work with Customers, Completion centers, OEMs, and Regional carriers to perform fit checks or record other mechanical data on actual aircrafts relevant to new Product Design. Position reports to Electrical engineering Manager Internal Relationships exist with most functional department heads and Staff including, Purchasing, QA, Manufacturing, Sustaining Engineering and Document Control External relationships exist with many suppliers/vendors. Completed design tasks that generally must follow a Program Schedule matrices that outline important dates Personal attitude to work and get along with others on a daily basis for work that involves others. Ability to reduce cost on new R-and-amp;D programs by using existing inventory whenever possible and selecting parts from approved sources that are readily available Minimum 10 years experience in Electrical Engineering and camera field. Minimum of 1-3 years experience on P spice software package.
