Want to help Tucson and the surrounding region during a disaster? Following a major disaster, it can take up to 3 days for first responders to reach victims. Getting trained in CERT is a great way to prepare yourself and your family for a disaster, and by joining a CERT team, you can respond to disasters in your community or elsewhere.

Training is FREE! It consists of 20 hours of classroom and hands-on training.Topics include fire safety, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, and team organization. Once you receive a CERT certificate, you can join a CERT team anywhere in the U.S.

A CERT course will be held in February 2010at the Volunteer Center of Southern arizona.

  • Friday, February 5, 2010- 5:00pm-9:00pm
  • Saturday, February 6, 2010- 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Sunday, February 7, 2010 - 9:00am-5:00pm
