About Sean:

Bonjour! I'm an alumnus of the University of arizona's French Department and Theatre Department, so I know what you're going through! Need help proof reading your paper for that picky professor, whatever the subject? Need some crazy French grammar explained? Want to practice conversation and pronunciation? Worried about your monologue or scene and need a professional eye before your professor sees it? I can help you! My rates are cheap, because I know school is breaking the bank as it is. I just want to help you out. I'd be glad to negotiate my rates, and I'm a very patient and helpful tutor!

I lived in Paris while going to school at the University Diderot-Paris 7, living in the outer districts with a French family and going to school in the heart of the city, so I have experience in both formal and informal French diction and conversation. My focus in French was on linguistics and culture, so I have a wide range of knowledge on the language and how it's used in different social settings. This past summer, I worked as a translator for the website of the well-known Belgian author Jean-Philippe Toussaint, translating documents for the English version of the site.

I have a degree in Theatre Arts with a focus on Performance and Dramaturgy. I know the craft well and my strength is in analyzing a text and finding the moments and weight within scenes and monologues. I have directorial experience, receiving praise for my analysis of the play Closer, writing a one act play entitled Sweaters and Bad Ideas which was produced by the University of Arizona, and collaborating as a core company member on many performances in the local theatre arts company called "Stories that Soar!." I'm an actor by trade, but excel in collaborative development meaning that I'll work with you, and together we'll find just how great your monologue can be!
